Sara Beth & Sam's Zephyr Lodge Northstar Wedding

Sara Beth & Sam: A Magical Mountain Top Marriage

When you get to film a wedding like this, you want to share it with everyone. On this very magical day, Sara Beth and Sam immersed themselves in impressive rustic elegance to join one another in holy matrimony for a lifetime of love and happiness. Surrounded by gorgeous mountains, many family and friends and one very beautiful chuppah, they could not have picked a more exquisite place to say “I do” than with a Zephyr Lodge Northstar Wedding. It was my absolute privilege to witness the romance between these two while filming their Lake Tahoe wedding video, and I’m not sure if words can express just how beautiful their wedding day was.

Lake Tahoe weddings are unique because the scenery of this nationally recognized natural treasure doesn’t require a lot of decoration to be breathtaking. Sara Beth and Sam kept the natural style going with their rustic flowers and simple, yet classic, bridal wear. The bride wore a beautifully detailed dress with lace and sparkling gems, while the groom wore a classic tuxedo complimented with a rustic boutonniere. The bouquets and chuppah were both accented with roses, greenery, and hydrangea that collectively complimented the charming atmosphere at the top of the mountain where they exchanged rings.

Understated elegance was all around the couple, in the form of beautiful pine trees with fields of daisies in the background. The chuppah was striking with rustic charm, and it symbolized the home the couple now enter together. The openness of the chuppah represents the openness they share and the openness to new ideas, as well as making their home a place were friends and family always feel welcome. A chuppah symbolizes a home within your heart - which echoed in this warm wedding full of romance. It was tremendously beautiful to witness and film this Lake Tahoe Wedding at Zephyr Lodge Northstar.

After the ceremony, the reception kicked off, filled with romance and the sweet sentiment of wedding toasts, traditional Hora dance, and guests celebrating the couple with joy and laughter. Family and friends had the time of their lives dancing the night away to live music. Sara Beth and Sam, I hope that the rest of your days are still just as blessed as the day you took one another in consecration according to the heritage of Moses and Israel. Sara Beth’s Mother summed it up quite nicely, and I hope that the utter joy you brought your parents on your wedding day follow you two for the rest of your lives. Congratulations on your gorgeous Lake Tahoe wedding!

Kristina & Ryan's Valhalla Grand Hall Wedding

On one truly romantic afternoon, along Lake Tahoe, Kristina and Ryan said “I do” with the Valhalla Grand Hall as their picture perfect wedding backdrop. This Lake Tahoe Wedding was absolutely breathtaking to shoot and full of love and affection from the happy couple to their loving friends and family.

With gorgeous mountains in the distance and the south lake bordering the outdoor reception, their Lake Tahoe wedding video was just as fun to shoot as it was to get to know this amazing couple. As a Tahoe videographer, this was probably one of my most memorable shoots. Weddings at Valhalla are exquisite and make the perfect, natural wedding scenery.

One of the most special moments were the tears shed as Kristina read her honest vows to her best friend Ryan. As she talked about spending her forever with him, even the Officiant began to wipe away her tears. However, those tearful moments of joy were outnumbered by the bold cheer of the entire wedding party and guests as the happy couple sealed their epic vows with one romantic kiss.

The reception followed with gorgeous, classy touches of romance. Each reception table was elegantly decorated with all white wildflowers from Thrans Flowers, and each guest’s seat was marked by a pine cone placeholder. Photographs of the five years the happy couple spent together before the big day lined the venue on string to show just how perfect they are for one another.

Within the joy of this beautiful couple’s new life together was mixed a few tears from everyone who holds them both dear. They celebrated in true style with a very special toast from Kristina’s Dad. One of the best toasts I have ever heard as a videographer, simply because it came from a beautiful, sentimental place filled with the same romance and love Kristina and Ryan share for one another.

As Kristina’s Father toasted to the happy couple “...for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Thank you for the privilege of capturing your journey on your very special day. The love you show one another truly is the kind of love that inspires the world. May the rest of your days together be full of just as much magic as you gave those of us lucky to be a part of your wedding day. I hope you continue to love one another with all of the madness in your souls each and every day.

Chad & Lacy's Wedding Weekend Edgewood Tahoe

Lacy & Chad had an epic destination wedding that included a trip to the Napa valley for wine tasting and a golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Their lake front ceremony and reception were held at Edgewood Tahoe.  It was an honor for us to be apart of their spectacular wedding event.

Lacy & Chad met while doing a golf internship at Walt Disney World. Three years later they choose the championship golf course, also the home of the Celebrity Golf Tournament , Edgewood Tahoe for their Sierra Nevada union.  June is a popular time to get married at Lake Tahoe because the weather is still cool and the mountains are still capped in snow.   This wedding had everything from a fireworks show to a helicopter exit. It is no surprise that this event was chosen as the "Featured Event" in The Wedded Bliss:

Jenny & Galen's Mammoth Mountain Wedding

Jenny & Galen were married in Mammoth Lakes California. Jenny & Galen's ceremony took place at the Forest Chapel which is tucked just across a small bridge that sits on Twin Lakes. The natural elegance of Forest Chapel makes it a popular summer wedding venue. The Ceremony site was nestled among ancient pine trees.

The reception took place at the beautiful Parallax Restaurant located on top of Mammoth Mountain ski resort.

Jennifer & Greg's Wedding Highlight | Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Wedding

Jennifer and Greg were married at the Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe. They had a beautiful Jewish ceremony on cottage green.  The Hyatt in north Lake Tahoe offers a stunning alpine setting with breathtaking views of the lake. The Lakeside ballroom makes an ideal setting for a reception sitting on the waters edge.

Therese & Chris's Same Day Edit

Therese & Chris were married in Squaw Valley at the Queen of the snow followed by a reception at the Ritz Carlton.  The below film is a same day edit that was produced and shown just after dinner.

The second video is our follow up piece (Wedding Highlight) that we produced for Therese & Chris's wedding day.

Heather & Troy's Valhalla Grand Hall Wedding in Lake Tahoe

Heather & Troy held their wedding ceremony and reception at the Valhalla Grand Hall in South Lake Tahoe.

Valhalla which means “heavenly place” was built in 1924. This property has beautifully detailed wood and stone features throughout the building. Inside there are hardwood floors and french doors that open onto a wrap around deck. At the center of Valhall's rustic design is a 30 foot tall stone fireplace and walk-in hearth that serves as the backdrop for ceremonies.
